CNC Deep Hole Honing Head
Production CharacteristicsOur deep hole honing heads are from φ40 to φ120 mm, and the honing head is suitable for deep hole precision and finishing. The honing oil stone (also known as honing stone) mounted on the honing head performs finishing on the finished surface. The main processing diameter of 5 ~ 500 mm or even greater variety of cylindrical holes, hole depth and the ratio of up to 1:10.

Describe
Our deep hole honing heads are from φ40 to φ120 mm, and the honing head is suitable for deep hole precision and finishing. The honing oil stone (also known as honing stone) mounted on the honing head performs finishing on the finished surface. The main processing diameter of 5 ~ 500 mm or even greater variety of cylindrical holes, hole depth and the ratio of up to 1:10. Two to ten whetstones with a length of about 1/3 to 3/4 of the length of the honing head are set on the outer periphery of the honing head. They both rotate and reciprocate when they are boring. They are evenly outward by the spring or hydraulic control in the honing head. Therefore, the contact area with the hole surface is large and the machining efficiency is high. After honing the hole size accuracy is IT7 level, the surface roughness can reach Ra0.32 ~ 0.04 micron. The size of the honing allowance depends on the hole diameter and the workpiece material. Generally, the cast iron part is 0.02 to 0.15 mm, and the steel part is 0.01 to 0.05 mm. The rotational speed of the boring head is generally 100 to 200 rpm, and the speed of the reciprocating movement is generally 15 to 20 m/min. In order to flush away the chips and abrasive grains, improve the surface roughness and reduce the cutting zone temperature, the operation often requires a large amount of cutting fluid, such as kerosene or a small amount of spindle oil, and sometimes extreme pressure emulsion.
